Men's ODI Asia Cup 2023 Schedule Announced: Pakistan and Sri Lanka to Host the Cricketing Extravaganza.

The Men's ODI Asia Cup 2023 schedule has been announced, and it will be held from 30 August to 17 September. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be the host countries for the tournament.

The tournament will feature a total of 13 matches, with four venues being used for the competition. In Pakistan, Multan will host the opening match between Pakistan and Nepal on 30 August. The remaining three matches in Pakistan will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Sri Lanka will use Kandy to host three first-round matches, while Colombo will stage the five Super-4 stage fixtures and the final on 17 September.

The first match in the tournament will be between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan on 30 August. Sri Lanka's first match will be against Bangladesh in Kandy on 31 August. A marquee match between Pakistan and India will take place in Kandy on 2 September. If both teams progress to the Super-4 stage, they will meet again in Colombo on 10 September. The teams have been seeded into two groups: Group A includes Pakistan, India, and Nepal, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. If Nepal and Afghanistan progress to the Super-4 stage, they will take the seeding of the teams that have dropped out in the first round.


ACC President Mr. Jay Shah emphasized that the Asia Cup is a celebration of cricketing excellence that unites Asian nations in the spirit of competition and camaraderie.

PCB Chair Mr. Zaka Ashraf expressed excitement for Pakistan to host the ACC Asia Cup after 15 years and stated that the arrangements and hospitality provided will be top-notch.
